One thing that I find annoying is the Home edition not supporting Remote Desktop which I use to access a headless Windows 10 WAMP server (a Mac mini). I must say Windows 10 is very nice and simple to use after decades of hating Windows with a passion I actually enjoy using it, albeit only on a Mac and my Mac Pro cylinder runs Steam and the likes of GTA V very well indeed. The easiest by far was a new Mac Pro cylinder which literally did everything unattended up to where the Windows welcome screen takes over. All good fun but not one Mac I used was the same procedure. This I cured by actually removing the partition Boot Camp had created using Terminal and allowing Windows to see a area of 'free space' which it then formatted correctly and went well after that. Each Mac seems to have different methodologies and some such as my Mac mini 2012 failed at the last stage due to an EFI issue according to the Windows installation setup. I've added Boot Camp and Windows 10 to a whole bunch of Macs ranging in age I would add that a MacBook Pro 2010 cannot use an iso insisting on using an optical disk.

Since it is not possible to get around the 2.2 TB limitation with booting Windows, it is possible to organize the partitions so that Windows is the last of the first four partitons and is within the first 2.2 TBs of space on the drive. Unfortunately, booting Windows with this modern method is not currently supported on the Mac, and not all versions of Windows 7 and Windows 8 support it. The limitation of 2.2 TB exists on the PC as well, and modern and future PCs will use GPT formatted disks to overcome this size limitation (Windows 7 and Windows 8 provide some support for this partition scheme). This partition table has only 4 available partition slots (which is the reason for the limitation above), and the total size of all four partitions is limited to 2.2 TB since the Master Boot Record partition is only able to reference data up to 2.2 TB, even if the drive is larger than that. Boot Camp installs Windows in a dual-boot configuration, which means both operating systems will be installed separately. Sure, Macs come with macOS, but you can easily install Windows alongside macOS using Apple’s built-in Boot Camp feature. Many users have complained that the download speed through Boot Camp Assistant is. Thanks to the switch from PowerPC to Intel many years ago, a Mac is just another PC. In order for a Mac to boot Windows, a standard OS X partitioned disk (called “GPT formatted”) includes a Master Boot Record partition table at the start of the drive.
